Some clarifications about YAMS

I thought about posting this entry after reading some comments on the last chapter of You are my Sun. I don't mean this as an affront, far from it; it's natural that you can't see what's in my head.

First of all: none of the boys are gay at the beginning of the story. My theory about this whole BellDom matter is that they are only gay for each other. Does that make sense? I hope so!

Another important aspect: many readers asked me "when will they kiss?" Sorry that things evolve slowly in my story but I have the firm belief that if you're a straight person then it takes time to realize that you have feelings for a person of the same gender. I wanted to build the whole background to give depth to this story! I love YAMS far too much to just huddle it! *puppy eyes* It's my first published fanfic, my first series! <3 I hope you can understand my reasons! I assure you, your patience will be rewarded! :)

Err... yeah... no pr0n in this one. Not that I can write it but I want to keep this fic innocent and sweet. *blushes*


One more thing I want to add: I have the whole story planned in my head(roughly). Just typing it and finding the right words to express myself takes a lot of time. Sorry about that! :( Dunno when will the new chapter be posted; that's a shame because something interesting will happen. Okay, no teasing.


I'd gladly listen to your thoughts, opinions, suggestions and whatever you have in mind! Don't hesitate and write! ;)

take all the time you need, hun and it's only natural what you thinks and how it'll move slow since the boys are not gay. it's even more important to take this slow as boys that age are oftentimes not really comfortable to admit something like that.

It certainly does take time! A persons entire thinking changed and they have to wrap their head around it, even an open minded individual, it will take time.. Hell, I thought I was straight and as my brain wrapped around the fact that I wasn't, it wasn't like I went out and snogged the first girl I saw.. it took years. (some of it was lack of opportunity)

You told this to me before and I totally agree with you! My current story is also going on the same lines. Don't be nervous at all Brigi.

It's great that you have the whole story sorted in your head. That's a good thing actually. Take your time.

I agree with you and everyone who commented here. I love fics that build up slowly and there doesn't necessarily have to be porn right away, or even kissing. I wrote a series for museslash a while ago and I didn't even have Matt and Dom touch each other in any way, not even on the arm or anything, until part 13!!! So, your fic is right up my street. xxxxx

Well, you should never let anything alter the pace at which your character's development. No story must have the character's fall in love immediately, they don't have to even have to have feelings for the same gender in the first place.

Also, just because it's Slash, we don't have to have sexy scenes all the time... it's not the most important thing in the world. Surely the story and how we can relate to the characters is the key aspect of any fic.

I will actually be honest with you, I prefer the part of the relationship where the two are getting to know each other, are learning more about their personalities, their quirks... their lives. At the same time, we as the reader, are learning about them and in our own way, we're learning to love them.

Also, I want to apologise in advance, I won't be able to beta from 1st September until.... I get the internet back. Which... could be October for all I know :( I'm so sorry, I will let you know though via Facebook of course. I'll try and beta, but I can't promise that I won't take at least 3 weeks or more.
