I was happy to hear that you've written more! I feel like I repeat myself every time I comment on your stories but I can't help the fact that I liked this idea and loved the fic! AU fics are always fun to read and I would like to read more fantasy related fics.
But, poor, worrying King Dominic. It really showed that he cared about Captain Matthew and I liked the flashbacks (memories). They showed that they really were close and very, very good friends and aww. I always like flashbacks in stories. And Dominic's mom seemed to be a lovely lady (though when I read her name, I instantly thought about The Tudors tv-series and Anne Boleyn, but anyway). And necklaces, I liked them!
The captain sighed with relief as he put his head on Dominic’s strong shoulder and clutched the king’s clothes tightly, afraid that he might disappear, like the delicate moonlight.
I had a image of this in my head and aww. They really missed each other. And good describing here, I like the 'delicate moonlight' thing.
